Patient Care Handouts provide free health information for care at home after a medical appointment or treatment. You can use the handouts to help care for yourself, your child or another family member.
The online library has more than 4,000 health topics. New topics are added regularly.
You can:
search for a health condition, treatment or procedure
browse topics by health category
find information for before and after surgery
find information about baby health, allergies, medicines, injuries and many other topics
choose a handout written for an adult, child or teenager when different versions are available
Choose the handout that matches the person and health topic. The handouts are designed to support care after a healthcare visit. If you do not understand the instructions, contact your healthcare provider.
You can also call Health Link at 811. Health Link is a free and confidential service that is available 24 hours a day. A registered nurse can answer health questions and help you decide where to get care.
Health Link can provide interpretation support in more than 240 languages. Tell the Health Link worker which language you speak and ask for an interpreter.
For a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
